We human beings are on the verge of health destruction just because we don’t pay real attention to our daily eating(s). Certainly, soft drinks or colas are one of those food ingredients that are extremely injurious to our health.

Caffeine:
There’s always been a definite amount of caffeine in every cola and its effects can’t be neglected at all. This is not only an addictive substance but has bad impact over heart rhythms and pulse rates. In addition to it, caffeine also promotes the excessive production of urine that ultimately dehydrates entire body with a very short span of time.

Sugar:
The second most damaging ingredient of cola is the sugar. Habitual cola drinking routine can lead to disturbance of sugar level along with cavities problems. For sugar, people may argue about its substitute being used in cola these days thinking that they are good or have no bad impact. However, drinks being manufactured with sugar substitutes have more bad impact as compared to sugar-coated drinks. Even in some cases, it’s been seen that people have been diagnosed with severe brain dysfunctionalities problem along with incurable states of cancer too.
Carbonation:
When it comes to carbonation, this also plays a vital role in disturbing the digestion system and especially the kidneys. Many people have been found visiting dentists because their tooth color had gradually started to fade due to habitual cola drinking routine.
Artificial Colors:
In addition to it, a recent study shows that the coloring element of cola and other flavor enhancement substances have got severe impact over bones and calcium. Once the person gets addictive of it, his\her body gradually starts to hollow from inside.   
A recent study said that taking cola with mentos can be very much dangerous for us and our stomach may explode. This is because of a chemical reaction which rapidly form foam of cola. It is also proved in many experiments by scientists and experts.

రెక్కలు తెగుతున్నాయి! ఎడారిలా మారుతున్న పులికాట్ ఆక్రమణలతో కొల్లేటి కంటి కన్నీరు బీల భూముల్లో థర్మల్ 'పవర్' విలవిల్లాడుతున్న విదేశీ పక్షి అతిథులు ఏటేటా తగ్గిపోతున్న పక్షుల రాక ఒకటా రెండా! మన రాష్ట్రంలో విదేశీ వలస పక్షులకు ఆవాసాలు ఎన్నో ఉన్నాయి! శ్రీకాకుళంలో తేలినీలాపురం నుంచి... అనంతపురం జిల్లా వీరాపురం వరకు... అనేక గ్రామాలు విదేశీ విహంగ అతిథులతో కళకళలాడుతుంటాయి. తొలకరి వర్షాలతో మొదలైన వలస... ఆరు నెలలపాటు కొనసాగుతుంది. ఇక్కడికి వచ్చి, ఇక్కడే గూడు కట్టుకుని, ఇక్కడే గుడ్లు పెట్టి, ఇక్కడే ఆ గుడ్లను పొదిగి, పిల్ల పక్షులు ఎగరడం నేర్చుకుని... తిరుగు ప్రయాణం కడతాయి. మనల్ని నమ్ముకుని అన్ని వేల కిలోమీటర్లు దాటి ఇక్కడిదాకా వచ్చే అతిథులకు ఇక్కడ ఎలాంటి మర్యాద దక్కుతోంది? హైదరాబాద్, సెప్టెంబర్ 17: అది పులికాట్ సరస్సు. మూడొంతులు మన రాష్ట్రంలోని నెల్లూరు జిల్లాలో ఉంటుంది. మిగిలిన భాగం తమిళనాడులో ఉంటుంది. ఇది దేశంలోనే రెండో అతిపెద్ద ఉప్పునీటి సరస్సు. ఎటు చూసినా నీరు. లక్షల కొద్దీ పక్షులు, వాటి విన్యాసాలు, పుష్కలంగా మత్స్య సంపద. తెరచాప పడవల్లో జాలర్లు! ప్రకృతి కాన్వాస్‌పై దేవుడు గీసినట్లున్న చిత్రమిది! రాయదొరువు, కొండూరుపాళెం, పలవరకాడు ముఖ ద్వారాలద్వారా వచ్చి కలిసే సముద్రపు నీరు... స్వర్ణముఖి, కాళంగి, ఆరణి నదులు, పలు వాగుల ద్వారా వచ్చి చేరే మంచి నీరు! విశిష్టమైన ఈ కలయిక ఇది. 35 శాతం ఉప్పునీరు, మిగిలిన మంచి నీరుతో... 15 నుంచి 45 డిగ్రీల ఉష్ణోగ్రతతో చేపలు పెరిగేందుకు అత్యుత్తమ అనుకూలమైన వాతావరణమిది. ఐదు అడుగుల ఎత్తుండే ఫ్లెమింగో నుంచి అతి చిన్నదైన పూరీడు (గ్రే ప్వాప్రేజ్) వరకు, అనేక దేశాల నుంచి, అనేక రకాల పక్షులు ఇక్కడికి వచ్చి చేరతాయి. కానీ... ఇప్పుడు పులికాట్‌లోకి సముద్రపు నీటిని చేర్చే మూడు ముఖద్వారాలు పూడుకున్నాయి. నదుల వరదతో పులికాట్‌లో ఏటేటా పూడిక పెరుగుతోంది. ఒకప్పుడు 6 మీటర్ల లోతున నీరుండే పులికాట్... నేడు అర మీటరు కూడా కనిపించడంలేదు. దీంతోపాటు విదేశీ పక్షుల రాక కూడా ఏటేటా తగ్గిపోతోంది. 2011లో 1.26 లక్షల పక్షులు రాగా... 2009లో 59 వేలు దాటలేదు. 2010లో మంచి వర్షాలు కురవడంతో 2 లక్షల పక్షులతో సరస్సు కళకళలాడింది. ఈసారి... సెప్టెంబర్ ముగుస్తున్నా ఒక్కపక్షీ వచ్చి వాలలేదు. పులికాట్‌ను ప్రజలు పట్టించుకోకుంటే... మరికొన్నేళ్లలో ఇది పూర్తిగా అదృశ్యమైపోయే ప్రమాదముందని పర్యావరణ వేత్తలు ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. కొల్లేటి కొంగ కన్నీరు రాష్ట్రంలోని అతి పెద్ద పక్షుల ఆవాస కేంద్రాల్లో కొల్లేరు కూడా ఒకటి.

ఇది అతిపెద్ద మంచినీటి సరస్సుగా అంతర్జాతీయ ఖ్యాతి గడించింది. ఆస్ట్రేలియా, నైజీరియా, ఆస్ట్రేలియా, సైబీరియా, శ్రీలంక తదితర దేశాల నుంచి 193 రకాల పక్షులు కొల్లేటిలో సందడి చేస్తున్నట్లు 1960లో గుర్తించారు. పదేళ్ల కిందటి దాకా 164 రకాల పక్షులు వచ్చేవి. ఇప్పుడు వీటి సంఖ్య 60 రకాలకు పడిపోయింది. ఇప్పుడు కొల్లేరుతోపాటు... కొల్లేటి కొంగ కూడా కన్నీరు పెడుతోంది. చేపల చెరువుల పెంపకం, కొల్లేటి ఆక్రమణలతో కొల్లేరు కుచించుకుపోతోంది. 15 కాలువలు, 15 డ్రెయిన్ల ద్వారా సుమారు 3 లక్షల ఆయకట్టుకు చెందిన నీరు ఈ సరస్సులోకి చేరుతుంది. 1980 తర్వాత మొదలైన కాలుష్యం... ఇప్పుడు తీవ్ర రూపం దాల్చుతోంది. కొల్లేటికి రావాలంటేనే విదేశీ పక్షులు భయపడుతున్నాయి. ప్రస్తుతం నవంబర్ నుంచి ఫిబ్రవరి వర కు కొల్లేటిలో 30 వేల వరకు పక్షులు సేద తీరుతున్నాయి. ఇప్పుడు కనిపిస్తున్న పక్షులు మరీ అరుదైనవి కావని, సాధారణమైనవే అని నిపునులు చెబుతున్నారు. థర్మల్... 'పవర్' పెలికాన్, పెయింటెడ్ స్టార్క్ పేరు చెప్పగానే... పక్షి ప్రేమికులకు గుర్తొచ్చే గ్రామాలు శ్రీకాకుళం జిల్లాలోని తేలినీలాపురం, తేలుకుంచి. ఇక్కడ తుమ్మ, చింత చెట్లపై ప్రతి ఏటా జూన్ నుంచి ఫిబ్రవరి వరకు వీటి సందడి కనిపిస్తుంది. సైబీరియా నుంచి 12 వేల కిలోమీటర్లు ప్రయాణించి ఇక్కడ గూడు కట్టుకుంటాయి. ఐదువేల దాకా వచ్చే పక్షులు... సంతానాభివృద్ధి చేసుకుని 15 నుంచి 20 వేల వరకు తిరిగి వెళతాయి. ఒకప్పటితో పోల్చితే తేలుకుంచిలో పక్షుల సంఖ్య పెరగగా... తేలినీలాపురంలో మాత్రం పడిపోతోంది. కారణం... థర్మల్ 'పవర్'! ఇక్కడికి ఒకప్పుడు పదివేల దాకా పెయింటెడ్ స్టార్క్, పెలికాన్ పక్షులు వచ్చేవి. రెండు మూడేళ్లుగా వీటి సంఖ్య నాలుగు వేలకు పడిపోయింది. పక్షుల ఆహారానికి ప్రధాన వనరు అయిన... తుంపర భూముల్లో 2600 మెగావాట్ల థర్మల్ విద్యుత్తు ప్రాజెక్టు నిర్మాణం చేపట్టడమే దీనికి కారణమని చెబుతున్నారు. విచ్చలవిడిగా థర్మల్‌కు అనుమతులు తగవని స్థానికులు ప్రభుత్వానికి విన్నవించుకుంటున్నారు. కరువు జిల్లాగా పేరొందిన అనంతపురం జిల్లాలోనూ విదేశీ పక్షులు సందడి చేసే చోటు ఒకటుంది. అది... చిలమత్తూరు మండలంలోని వీరాపురం. ఇక్కడికి పెయింటెడ్ స్టార్క్స్ పక్షులు భారీసంఖ్యలే వస్తాయి. రంగు రంగుల ఈకల రెక్కలతో ఎగురుతుంటే... నింగిలో పూలు విరబూసినట్లుగా ఉంటుంది. ఇక్కడి రావి, చింత, వేప చెట్లపై గూళ్లు కట్టుకుని గుంపులు గుంపులుగా కనిపిస్తాయి. ఒకప్పుడు ఏటా పదివేలకుపైగా పెయింటెడ్ స్టార్క్స్ వచ్చేవి. ఇప్పుడు నాలుగువేలు దాటడం లేదు. పెద్ద పెద్ద చెట్లు అంతరించడమే దీనికి కారణమని చెబుతున్నారు. ఇప్పటికే పరిస్థితి ఇలా ఉండగా... లేపాక్షి నాలెడ్జ్ హబ్ కోసం వీరాపురం భూములు కూడా సేకరించేందుకు ప్రయత్నాలు జరిగాయి. దీనిపై స్థానికులు ఆందోళన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. వీరి విన్నపాన్ని హైకోర్టు కూడా ఆలకించింది. గ్రామం చుట్టూ కిలోమీటరు పరిధిలో భూసేకరణపై నిషేధం విధించింది. రాయలసీమలోని కడప జిల్లాకూ విదేశీ అతిథులు వస్తాయి. మన హుస్సేన్ సాగర్ కూడా! ఇప్పుడంటే హుస్సేన్ సాగర్ మురికి కంపు కొడుతోంది. కానీ... ఒకప్పుడు ఇదీ మంచి నీటి చెరువే. కొల్లేరు, పులికాట్ సరస్సులకు వచ్చే విదేశీ పక్షులు... హుస్సేన్ సాగర్‌కూ వచ్చేవి. గండిపేట వద్ద కూడా గూళ్లు పెట్టేవి. ఇక్కడికి కామెంట్‌టిల్, వైట్ వ్యాక్టిన్ వంటి పక్షులు వచ్చేవని పక్షి ప్రేమికుడు అరుణ్ చెప్పారు. కాలుష్యం దెబ్బకు విదేశీ పక్షులు ఇటువైపు చూడటమే మానేశాయి. ఆఫ్రికా దేశాల నుంచి పైట్‌కుక్ అనే పక్షి ఇప్పటికీ నగర శివార్లకు వస్తున్నట్లు అటవీ అధికారులు చెబుతున్నారు. ఏవీ... రాలేదే! వరంగల్ జిల్లాలోని దేవరుప్పుల మండలం నమడూరు గ్రామస్తులు ప్రతిఏటా ఆగస్టు నెల కోసం ఎదురు చూసేవారు. కారణం... ఆ నెలలో సైబీరియన్ పక్షులు వచ్చి ఊరి చెట్లపై వాలతాయి. గత 20 ఏళ్లుగా క్రమం తప్పకుండా జరుగుతున్న ఈ పక్షుల రాక... రెండేళ్ల క్రితం ఆగిపోయింది. 2010 మే నెలలో విపరీతమైన ఉష్ణోగ్రత, వడగాల్పులకు తట్టుకోలేక వందల సంఖ్యలో పక్షులు చనిపోయాయి. దీంత ఊరు ఊరంతా శోకసముద్రమైంది. గ్రామస్తులంతా తరలి వచ్చి... ఆ పక్షుల శరీరాలను వాగులో పాతి పెట్టారు. అప్పటి నుంచి పక్షుల రాక ఆగిపోయింది. మాకెంతో ఇష్టం... మన వాళ్లు ఎంతో మంచోళ్లు! విదేశీ పక్షులను తమ ఇం ట్లో మనుషులకంటే మిన్నగా చూసుకుంటారు. వాటి రాక ను శుభసూచకంగా భావిస్తారు. పులికాట్ పరిసర గ్రామా ల ప్రజలు పక్షుల రాకను స్వాగతిస్తూ చెరువు గట్టుపై పొంగళ్లు పెడతారు. ఆ ప్రాంత యువకులు పక్షి ప్రేమికుల సంఘంగా ఏర్పడ్డారు. ఇక్కడ పక్షుల వేటను ప్రభుత్వమే కాదు... ప్రజలు నిషేధించారు. శ్రీకాకుళం జిల్లా తేలుకుంచి గ్రామస్తులు ఈ పక్షులను చంపడాన్ని అరిష్టంగా భావిస్తారు. వీటిని వేటాడిన వారికి గుండు కొట్టించడం, జరిమానాలు విధించడం వంటి శిక్షలూ వేశారు. పక్షులు ఎంత ఎక్కువగా వస్తే అంత ఎక్కువగా అంత మేలు జరుగుతుందని తేలుకుంచి, తేలినీలాపురం గ్రామస్తులు నమ్ముతారు. ఖమ్మం జిల్లా చింతపల్లిలో విదేశీ పక్షులను వేటాడితే ఊరి నుంచే బహిష్కరిస్తారు. ఇతర గ్రామస్తులు వచ్చి వేటాడితే భారీ జరిమానా విధిస్తారు. గోపవరం మండలం బెడుసుపల్లె, బేతాయపల్లె గ్రామాలకు ఆస్ట్రేలియా, నైజీరియా, రష్యా తదితర దేశాల నుంచి ఎర్రకాళ్ల కొంగలు వస్తాయి. ఇక్కడి ప్రజలు ఆరు నెలలపాటు వీటిని కన్నబిడ్డల్లా చూసుకుంటారు. ఆరు నెలల తర్వాత తిరిగి తమ దేశాలకు వెళ్తున్నప్పుడు... ఇంటి ఆడబిడ్డలు వెళుతున్నంతగా బాధపడతారు. ఈ గ్రామాలను పర్యాటక కేంద్రాలు గా మార్చాలనే ప్రతిపాదనలు ఇప్పటిదాకా కార్యరూపం దాల్చడంలేదు.

• Also known as HSB Turning Torso, it is the highest building in Sweden. The building is also the third highest residential building in Europe. The term “turning” doesn’t indicate any sort of movement, but its unique architecture.

• The idea of the building is very unique. It is made up of 9 cubes. Each of them has 5 stories. All these cubes are stacked one above the other and keep twisting from bottom to top. They are twisted as much as 90 degree from top to bottom.

• Although it was the first skyscraper in the world of its kind, but currently there are two buildings under-construction, that are being constructed as a twisted building. Infinity Tower of Dubai to be completed in October 2013 while Chicago Spire(owned by Calatrava) in Chicago is expected to complete in 2014.

• If the building is twisted, what about the elevators? Are they also twisting like the building? The answer is NO, the elevators rise straight from bottom to top.

• The building has apartments, offices, conference centers and almost all the major facilities. It is a private building so the tourists are not allowed to visit the building.
